Copyright © Mike Valentine –   Green Table & Chair with Shadow Lines – sometimes I wonder how people can walk past scenes like this without at least a second glance or a slight slowing to their pace. When I walk by an oddly shadow-striped surface I slow, but when it is an interesting color with an equally interesting shape, I stop – but when there’s an arching chair in equally interesting color and the stark black-shadowed background setting it all off – it freezes me in my tracks. As odd as it seems – this is as striking as a pastoral nature scene to me. I love it.
