My introduction to SEO came 21 years ago when I built a site by coding manually in HTML to promote my professional photography business. In the process I learned what it takes to show up in the top 10 positions in search engines. Then I discovered that others needed that knowledge as well – so I began consulting and eventually changed careers from photographer to full-time SEO. The photos you see here are mostly from Instagram, where I post daily. I’m not posting selfies, but do have several topics I concentrate on, including architecture, cars, scenics, floral, plants, abstracts and the beauty of decay. If you search for the titles, very often you’ll see these shots ranking well – I still practice photo SEO 21 years later.
