Working to add unique product descriptions to over 5,000 existing product detail pages proved to be just what the search engines needed to improve traffic by over 30% year-over-year. These gains came from a concentrated effort at building quality content, working with two content vendors and coordinating product, engineering and merchandizing teams over 18 months with a phased content roll-out. Additionally, new buying guides were added and outdated content was refreshed to add new traffic to the most popular page type on the site. This project and another including infographics involved coordinating production, brand and design teams for a successful launch.
